Suzuki Motorcycle Sept Sales Rise 1% to 99,185 Units

Suzuki Motorcycle India has reported a slight increase in its sales figures for September, achieving a 1% rise to reach 99,185 units. This development highlights the company’s ongoing growth trajectory, with varied performance in domestic and international markets.

In a breakdown of sales figures, the domestic segment saw a decline, with sales dropping to 77,263 units compared to the previous year’s 83,856 units. Despite this decrease, the company has experienced a significant uptick in its export business. Exports surged by an impressive 55% year-on-year, amounting to 21,922 units, up from 14,138 units in September 2023.

These figures reflect the first half of the fiscal year, during which the company witnessed a noteworthy 16% growth in the domestic market. This positive outcome is largely attributed to strong customer demand, signaling a favourable market response to Suzuki Motorcycle’s offerings. Such growth is crucial as the company gears up for the second half of the year, especially with the festive season approaching.

Devashish Handa, Suzuki Motorcycle India’s Executive Vice President for Sales, Marketing, and After-sales, expressed optimism about the future. He noted that the company is not only confident about maintaining this positive momentum but is also well-equipped to cater to the dynamic needs of its customers during this crucial period.

Overall, despite the challenges in the domestic market, Suzuki Motorcycle India’s strategic focus on expanding its export footprint appears to be paying off. The company remains committed to navigating the fluctuating market conditions with resilience and adaptability, ensuring it meets customer expectations both locally and internationally.
