NAR Adds Home Improvement Contractor’s App to Realtor Benefits
In a move to further assist its members in providing comprehensive services to clients, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) has recently enriched its package of NAR Realtor Benefits. The association introduced a new addition – a home repair estimate app designed to streamline the process of getting homes ready for sale. This tool is expected to offer significant advantages to both realtors and their clients by simplifying the home improvement stage before a property is listed.
The “Build Your Own Estimate” mobile app, developed by Curbio, a company specializing in pre-sale home improvement services that defer payment until closing, now becomes accessible to NAR members. This innovative application allows realtors to quickly obtain free repair estimates by simply uploading a PDF document of home inspections. An added perk for using the service includes receiving a complimentary digital floor plan for every Curbio project undertaken.
“This collaboration reflects our dedication to equipping NAR members with innovative solutions that cater to the evolving needs of their clients, ensuring a smooth experience for sellers and buyers alike,” expressed Rhonny Barragan, NAR vice president of strategic alliances.
The partnership between NAR and Curbio isn’t new. Curbio was part of the 2019 cohort in the “REACH” startup growth program by Second Century Ventures, NAR’s strategic investment arm. The burgeoning company also clinched the top spot in the “pitch battle” at the second annual Innovation, Opportunity & Investment (iOi) Summit hosted by NAR in Seattle in the same year.

The “Build Your Own Estimate” app is readily available for download on both iOS and Android devices. Currently, Curbio operates within a 40-mile radius of more than 60 major U.S. markets, making its services widely accessible to a significant number of NAR members and their clients.
By incorporating such innovative tools into its Realtor Benefits Program, NAR continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting its members through resources that enhance efficiency and service quality.
