Italia Technology Alliance (A.Celli Group) Acquires Sipack
The Celli family holding is strategically expanding its portfolio by including Sipack Srl, taking a significant step towards augmenting the capabilities of a company based in Lucca. This move is driven by the aspiration to introduce synergies necessary for revitalizing product and service offerings both in Italy and internationally.
Italia Technology Alliance (ITA Holding) enthusiastically welcomes Sipack Srl, a prominent company in the Lucca region known for its specialization in comprehensive production lines for corrugated cardboard boxes. This includes equipment such as case makers, printer-slotters, rotary die-cutters, flexo printers, and folder gluers. With this acquisition, ITA Holding is set to broaden its potential for retrofitting existing lines. This enhancement includes advancements in both mechanical components and automation alongside control systems.
The integration of Sipack Srl’s products is seamless within the existing offerings of the A.Celli Group. This integration is particularly noteworthy alongside SADAS, an industrial automation company expanding its portfolio beyond the paper and tissue industries. Compatibly, Smartlogistix will enhance intralogistics management of finished corrugated cardboard products through autonomous guided vehicles (AGVs and AMRs), alongside automated warehouses and associated management software.
Mauro Celli, shareholder of ITA Holding, remarked on this development: “Sipack is a remarkable company from the Lucca area. Over the years, thanks to the innovative passion and extensive expertise of Walter Pacioni, it has succeeded in designing and operating machinery that meets high-performance standards for demanding customers. I am confident that Sipack’s organization, with the support from ITA Holding and the expertise of other group companies, will significantly reinforce our market offering in products and services.”
Walter Pacioni, Founder & CEO of Sipack Srl, expressed his enthusiasm: “From my initial conversation with Alessandro and Mauro Celli of ITA Holding, I recognized my vision for Sipack’s future aligned perfectly with a group that boasts 80 years of experience in crafting custom machinery and systems. The prospect of developing immediate synergies in technical, commercial, automation, customer service, and truly integrated solutions for our customers provided the impetus to establish this new direction. I am excited to continue engaging with our clients and meeting new ones, now endowed with a stronger, more innovative structure that remains acutely attentive to market needs.”
Walter Pacioni will continue leading Sipack Srl as CEO, with support from the newly formed Board of Directors. The board will also include Luca Brugioni, CFO of ITA Holding, and Simone Bertuccelli, Technical Director of A.Celli Nonwovens ensuring a cohesive leadership team.
With this collaboration, ITA Holding underscores its commitment to excellence and innovation, strategically positioning itself to elevate the standards of service and technological advancement within the industry. Sipack Srl stands to benefit significantly from the extensive expertise and resources available through this alignment, setting a robust foundation for future growth and innovation.
