Gopuff is set on regaining its foothold in the fast-paced delivery market, while Misfits Market ventures into the realm of e-commerce fulfillment services.

Gopuff, traditionally known for its quick delivery of snacks, beverages, over-the-counter medications, and other essentials, is venturing into fresh groceries to diversify its offerings and increase average order values. Through this alliance, Misfits Market will supply Gopuff’s micro-fulfillment centers with an array of grocery products almost daily. Gopuff will then leverage its robust delivery network to offer these products to consumers’ doorsteps in as little as 15 minutes.

The pilot phase of this initiative saw its inception in Chicago in December, subsequently reaching Philadelphia and New York City by February. Remarkably, during this phase, one-quarter of all Gopuff orders included fresh grocery items. The introduction of groceries has not only increased the size of orders by 20% but also led to a significant surge in sales across various categories, including produce, dairy, prepared foods, and meats.

Abhi Ramesh, Misfits Market’s founder and CEO, underscored the partnership’s alignment with the company’s mission to reduce food waste. This collaboration is poised to redefine the standards of convenience, efficiency, and sustainability in grocery shopping.

Beyond groceries, Gopuff continues to cater to the everyday needs of its customers by delivering an impressive selection of around 5,000 essential items. The company has also introduced enticing incentives for its subscription members, or FAM members, offering them 50% off fresh groceries. This move has made fresh food more accessible and affordable, with deals such as strawberries for less than $4 and bananas at just 25 cents each.

The announcement of Gopuff’s collaboration with Misfits Market follows closely on the heels of the launch of Powered by Gopuff. This innovative logistics and technology platform enables brands to provide their customers with swift, 15-minute delivery directly from their online stores. Additionally, earlier this month, Gopuff introduced a delivery option guaranteeing arrival in 20 minutes or less for its FAM members. Such initiatives are indicative of Gopuff’s determination to strengthen its subscription service and remain a dominant player in an era where the trend toward ultrafast delivery is experiencing a slowdown.

This partnership between Gopuff and Misfits Market emerges as a beacon of progress in the online retail space. It signifies a move towards a more integrated, efficient, and customer-focused delivery service capable of providing a wide range of fresh groceries alongside essential items swiftly and sustainably.
