Holland Industrial Group, celebrated for its contributions in industrial real estate and plant dispositions, has unveiled a noteworthy acquisition and transformation of a 76,000-square-foot industrial facility in Atkins, Virginia. This strategic move involved a sale-leaseback transaction executed in concert with a major automotive manufacturer transitioning from operations. The result is a testament to Holland Industrial Group’s ability to convert underutilized industrial spaces into dynamic economic centers.

This expansion not only increased the facility’s size by 26,000 square feet but also generated 165 new jobs. Moreover, Hitachi completed a $6.2 million upgrade to its dry-type transformer manufacturing plant in Bland, Virginia, enhancing its capabilities since 2021. These ventures exemplify Hitachi’s dedication to fulfilling rising demands in the energy and utility sectors.

The collaboration at the newly revamped Atkins facility signifies a significant phase in Hitachi’s strategic expansion in the United States. The upgraded site will be pivotal in aiding Hitachi’s operations while simultaneously fostering economic growth in Southwest Virginia.
