ProofID Triumphs with Judges’ Award for Global Ambition at the 2024 Northern Tech Awards
In a significant recognition of their expansion achievements, ProofID, a leading Identity and Access Management (IAM) company based in the UK, has been honoured with the Judge’s Award for Global Ambition at the prestigious Northern Tech Awards. This celebration, taking place within the historic Manchester Cathedral, underlines the company’s remarkable journey towards international market leadership, particularly in the North American region through two key acquisitions.
The esteemed accolade comes on the heels of ProofID’s strategic acquisition of two companies: Regatta Solutions, an Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) integrator located in Austin, Texas, and PEGRight, an IAM integrator based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. These acquisitions have significantly bolstered ProofID’s standing, enabling it to emerge as a frontrunner in offering enterprise identity solutions and global identity managed services across Europe and North America.
Organized by tech investment firm GP Bullhound, the Northern Tech Awards commend the innovation, resilience, and growth spirit prevalent within the Northern tech ecosystem. This year’s ceremony not only showcased the region’s leading technology firms but also celebrated the vigorous tech economy they’re helping to cultivate.

The company’s growth trajectory received a significant boost in 2022 when Maven invested £15 million through the Maven UK Regional Buyout Fund. This investment was aimed at supporting ProofID’s strategic expansionary goals and has since facilitated the enhancement of its market presence through extended partnerships with leading IAM vendors.
The Northern Tech Awards’ eleventh ceremony brought together 250 dignitaries, including CEOs, entrepreneurs, and business leaders from the digital economy across the North of England and Scotland. Peter Dolan, CFO of ProofID, accepted the award, amid this gathering of the North’s technological crème de la crème, marking a pivotal milestone in the company’s journey.
