PM Modi’s Vision Catalyzes the Creation of Premier Institutions
In a telling reflection of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s deep commitment to bolstering India’s educational sphere, Dr Jitendra Singh, the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology, underscored how the PM’s foresight is paving the way for the establishment of world-class institutions akin to the Indian Institute of Management (IIM).
During an enlightening dialogue at the IIM located at Jagti near Jammu, Dr Singh highlighted the vibrant phase that India’s youth is experiencing under the Modi administration. “The nation is witnessing an unparalleled surge in startups, opening new vistas of opportunity, buoyed by a technological revolution that democratizes possibilities across diverse regions,” he elaborated.

Dr Singh drew attention to the impactful narratives of successful startups, crediting robust industry linkages as a primary catalyst. He cited the transformative ‘Aroma Mission’ as an exemplary initiative where governmental interventions have empowered agricultural startups. By fostering skills development among lavender entrepreneurs and facilitating market penetration, the initiative has significantly boosted the sale of Himalayan aroma products, including lavender-infused perfumes.
In his address, Dr Singh emphasized the importance of leveraging technology for the collective welfare of society. “There was a time when technological advances were the prerogative of a select few. Today, however, technology is a universal enabler, leveling the playing field for all,” he remarked.
Looking towards the future, Dr Jitendra Singh called upon the youth to prepare themselves to shoulder the leadership of India as it approaches its centenary of independence in 2047. “The youth of today will sculpt the developed India of tomorrow. It is with this conviction that the government is relentlessly working to arm its young citizens with innovative skills and knowledge,” stated Dr Singh.
Furthermore, Dr Singh advocated for the establishment of collaborative networks and synergistic partnerships among educational institutions. Such alliances, he believes, are instrumental in enhancing the educational landscape, thereby enriching the learning journey of students.
The discourse delivered by Dr Jitendra Singh at the IIM not only reflects the government’s proactive stance on education but also underscores a strong belief in the potential of India’s youth. As the nation strides towards a brighter, more evolved educational paradigm, the leadership and vision of figures like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Dr Jitendra Singh are pivotal in realizing the dream of a ‘New India’ — one that is educated, empowered, and ready to lead on the world stage.
