During the 2023-24 academic session’s placement drive, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-BHU) celebrated receiving 1,044 job offers as of February 1, inclusive of 11 international positions. The placement cell, overviewed by Prof Sushant Kumar Srivastava, highlighted an impressive highest CTC of Rs 1.68 crore with an average salary of Rs 23 lakh per annum.
A wide array of over 200 companies, both national and international, participated, offering more than 350 distinct roles. Leading the pack in recruitment were companies such as NK Securities, Google, Microsoft, and Oracle, among others in the technology, finance, and startup sectors. The drive notably catered to roles in engineering and technology, reflecting a robust demand in the IT and fintech industries as well as an increasing interest in product management roles.
