Duo behind Norwich Market Stall Set to Launch New Bar This Month
Toby Westgarth and Dominic Burke, the figures behind the popular Norwich Market stall, Sir Toby’s Beers, are eagerly preparing to open their latest venture, Bier Draak. Positioned at 42 King Street, this “continental beer bar” aims for a launch by the end of February, following an initial delay from its planned opening last December.
Despite the postponement, anticipation has been building. “It’s been quite a surprise how many people are excited about it,” shared Mr. Burke. Balancing the demands of their current operations has challenged the duo, but they’re committed to perfecting Bier Draak. “We’re quite a small team and want to get this right, we don’t want to rush things,” Burke added, emphasizing their dedication to quality and experience.
Bier Draak promises to be a haven for beer enthusiasts, featuring an array of draught and bottled German and Belgian beers, complemented by an assortment of cold meats and cheeses. Although reluctant to pin down an exact opening date, Burke expressed enthusiasm over the community’s warm reception to their new endeavor.
As the opening nears, Norwich residents and visitors alike await the opportunity to enjoy the unique offerings of Bier Draak, an extension of the beloved Sir Toby’s Beers legacy.
