Chris Pratt And Anna Faris’ Former L.A. Home Lists For $7.5 Million – Haute Residence by Haute Living

The once-shared Los Angeles abode of renowned Hollywood actors Chris Pratt and Anna Faris is on the market again, carrying a significant price of $7.5 million. The Mediterranean-style mansion, previously occupied by the famous duo, has been taken over by Brett Mahoney, a well-known executive producer and showrunner of hit series like CSI: Miami. The prestigious listing is managed by Billy Rose and Natasha Sizlo of The Agency.

After their renowned divorce, Pratt and Faris sold this estate in 2020 for $4.75 million. They originally acquired the property back in 2013, for a sum of $3.3 million. Following their separation, their agreement required them to live within a five-mile radius of each other until their son, Jack, finished the sixth grade. As both celebrities continue to live nearby with Jack now aged 12, it’s uncertain if this proximity clause will remain in effect.

The property itself is a quintessential example of Mediterranean architecture, built in 1979 and covering a space of 4,700 square feet. It houses four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, maintaining much of its traditional appeal with elements like wooden-beam ceilings and arched doorways, reflecting the allure of its original design. However, under the stewardship of Pratt and Faris, the estate underwent significant modernization, adopting a modern farmhouse style that is both welcoming and sophisticated.

Upon entering, one is greeted by a bright foyer featuring elegant glass double doors, leading to spacious formal living and dining areas adorned with vaulted ceilings. The family room, complete with a painted brick fireplace, adds to the home’s warmth. The chef’s kitchen, boasting sleek white cabinetry, marble tile backsplashes, and an expansive island, caters to both grand entertaining and intimate family dining. The exterior of the home is equally designed for enjoyment and relaxation, with a covered patio, a saltwater pool, a spa, a fire pit, and even a tennis court, inviting endless outdoor activities.

Despite their separation, Pratt and Faris have maintained a friendly relationship. Faris has since moved to an environmentally sustainable mansion in Pacific Palisades. Meanwhile, Pratt has invested in a $15.6 million estate in the vicinity, which is currently listed for sale.

However, not all of Pratt’s real estate endeavors have been well-received. In 2023, together with his current wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, Pratt faced criticism for demolishing the midcentury-modern Zimmerman House in Brentwood. This house, a historic gem designed by the acclaimed architect Craig Ellwood, was replaced with a larger, more modern mansion, inciting backlash from both preservationists and architecture enthusiasts for its disregard for architectural heritage.

This fascinating blend of celebrity culture, architectural preservation, and luxury real estate showcases the intricate dynamics at play within Los Angeles’ high-profile property market. As the former home of Chris Pratt and Anna Faris goes back on the market, it serves as a prominent reminder of the city’s continuous evolution, both architecturally and culturally.
