IIT Bhubaneswar is gearing up to launch the 100-CUBE Startup initiative on February 11, aiming to bolster the startup ecosystem with a comprehensive support structure. This initiative is supported by the Ministry of Education and will see the expansion of the park to 80,000 square feet within two years. It aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020’s emphasis on entrepreneurship and innovation, aiming to propel India further up the global innovation ranking.
The initiative seeks to nurture startups across various demographics and sectors through a robust “mind-to-market” strategy. The launch event will include technical workshops led by prominent figures from academia, industry, and venture capital, focusing on fostering strategic collaborations to achieve the initiative’s objectives. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will inaugurate a new 1500-seat auditorium and lay the e-foundation for infrastructure projects valued at Rs 450 crore, marking a significant step towards transforming Odisha into a center of entrepreneurial excellence.
