All-New 2025 Honda CR-V Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle Lease Pricing Announced; Includes Generous Hydrogen Fuel Credits
Honda has unveiled the lease details for the groundbreaking 2025 Honda CR-V e:FCEV, marking a significant milestone as America’s premier production plug-in hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV). Setting a new benchmark in sustainable automotive solutions, this innovative compact CUV combines exceptional driving dynamics with zero emissions. Commencing July 9, Californians will have the opportunity to embrace this eco-friendly marvel, with Honda offering three enticing lease options. Notably, a 3-year/36,000-mile lease arrangement stands out at $459 per month, which notably includes $15,000 worth of hydrogen refueling credits.
The CR-V e:FCEV is distinguished by its extraordinary 270-mile EPA driving range, a testament to its sophisticated U.S.-manufactured fuel cell system complemented by plug-in charging capabilities. This seamless integration allows for up to 29 miles of pure electric driving, ideal for local commutes, alongside the convenience of swift hydrogen refueling for extended journeys.
Prospective lessees can explore this offering through twelve authorized Honda dealerships across key Californian markets, including areas around Los Angeles, Orange County, the San Francisco Bay Area, and Sacramento. Besides competitive leasing terms, lessees will also benefit from up to 21 days of rental vehicle access from Avis within California, round-the-clock roadside assistance, and eligibility for California’s Clean Air Vehicle Stickers, which offer the privilege of single-occupant HOV lane access.
With a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) set at $50,000, the lease structures do not provide a purchase option, underscoring Honda’s lease-only approach for this cutting-edge vehicle. Every unit of the CR-V e:FCEV arrives lavishly equipped with advanced features such as a 10.2-inch digital instrumentation display, a 9-inch touchscreen, compatibility with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Autoâ„¢, wireless phone charging facilities, a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, power-adjustable heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, a handsfree access power tailgate, and parking sensors. The vehicle also makes a significant statement with its sustainable materials, including bio-based leather seat upholstery.
Further enhancing convenience and sustainability, the CR-V e:FCEV includes HondaLink® with expanded capabilities like hydrogen station information, alongside charging and power supply data. The included Honda Power Supply Connector allows the vehicle to function as a mobile clean power source, capable of providing up to 1,500 watts to run small appliances, portable air conditioners, power tools, camping gear, and more.
Honda’s journey with hydrogen fuel cell technology began over two decades ago with the Honda FCX, the world’s first zero-emission FCEV certified for everyday use by both the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the California Air Resources Board (CARB). This legacy of innovation is continued with the 2025 Honda CR-V e:FCEV, manufactured at Honda’s Performance Manufacturing Center in Marysville, Ohio. This makes it the only fuel cell electric passenger vehicle made in America, featuring the second-generation Honda Fuel Cell Module produced in Michigan. This collaboration with General Motors has led to significant advancements, including a two-thirds cost reduction in the fuel cell system compared to Honda’s previous generation.
With such comprehensive features and forward-thinking technology, the 2025 Honda CR-V e:FCEV represents Honda’s commitment to providing clean, safe, fun, and connected vehicles. As Honda progresses towards a more sustainable future, the introduction of vehicles like the CR-V e:FCEV underscores the brand’s dedication to innovation and environmental stewardship, continuing to build on over 40 years of automotive manufacturing in America.
