Innovation Meets Entrepreneurship at Innoventure 2024 at NMIMS Chandigarh

This vision became a reality at SVKM’s NMIMS Chandigarh during the eagerly anticipated annual Innoventure 2024 event. Spanning two dynamic days, Innoventure was an ode to the fervor of innovation, attracting a kaleidoscope of participants eager to exhibit their creativity and vie for the chance to be recognized as the next big idea.
The climactic moments of the event were graced by the esteemed presence of Shri Banwarilal Purohit, Hon’ble Governor of Punjab & Administrator of Chandigarh, who, in his address, commended NMIMS Chandigarh for fostering an environment of honesty and truthfulness in alignment with the robust NEP (National Education Policy). He stressed the importance of continuous learning and adherence to the principles of Mahatma Gandhi and Kasturba Gandhi, emphasizing ethics and transparency.
An illustrious gathering of industry stalwarts, founders, investors, and business mavens formed the panel of judges, setting a benchmark for entrepreneurial excellence. Participants had the unique opportunity to pitch their ideas in front of this distinguished panel, which included figures like Dr. Puran Singh of IIT Mandi, Vidur P Bansal of Workcave Coworking, and Mr. Kaushik Roy of Biryani By Kilo, to name a few. These expert evaluations provided the participants not just the chance to win substantial cash prizes but also a platform to network with leaders in the industry, gaining invaluable insights into the entrepreneurial world.
The event’s competitive spirit reached its zenith in the pitching competition, wherein participants, brimming with enthusiasm and innovative ideas, faced the judges. Prizes totaling up to Rs. 1 lakh were at stake, with the most inventive and promising projects earning not only the monetary reward but also significant exposure to potential investors and collaborators.
Winners of the Innoventure event stood out for their ingenuity and promise. Reverberate- Sound Pressed by Yashvi Kamboj and Kinjal Madaan from Chitkara International School clinched the first position, followed by Vansh Saini in second place. The third position was shared by The Incredibles from Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology (PIET) KUK, and Ease Fitness, also from PIET KUK.
Dr. Jaskiran Kaur, Director of NMIMS Chandigarh, expressed her satisfaction with the event, noting its significance in promoting the entrepreneurial spirit among students. By stepping beyond traditional classroom learning, NMIMS aims to nurture the talents of its students and prepare them for the challenges of the business world.
